Our Margilan Waistcoat pays homage to the art of Uzbek ikat weaving in Margilan, Uzbekistan.

Made of silk and cotton ikat, with moiré finishing that gives the fabric a sophisticated shimmering effect. It comes with a copper tone zip, two front facing patch pockets and a small hook below the left pocket.

In the ikat making process, the threads are meticulous marked according to pre-set patterns. The different sections are then tie-dyed. According to the complexity of the pattern and the number of colours, the tie-dye process is repeated several times. The threads are then handwoven on a four or six-shaft treadle loom. The fabric is sourced directly from Margilan, Uzbekistan. The waistcoat is designed, hand-cut and made at a family-size workshop in the Veneto region, in Italy.

Our Chandigarh shirt-jacket is an ode to the curious slow-traveler. With refined phulkari hand-embroidered motifs on the collar and cuffs, the boxy cut jacket features side pockets, front-facing patch pockets and pressure buttons for the jacket's closure.

The jacket is designed and manufactured in Italy, at a family-size workshop. The phulkari embroideries are hand-stitched in India by the Nabha Foundation's artisans. It is crafted from 100% cotton which is hand-selected from Italian textile mills' dead-stock fabrics.
